Warsaw-retro style bistro on Senatorska Street

Visitors to the Plac Zamkowy-Business with Heritage building can treat themselves to hot croissants, pancakes and panini warmed up in a special oven in just seven seconds. Mouth-watering salads, appetizers and French pastries will additionally tempt everyone’s palate. On 27 August, the building will see the grand opening of a unique bistro-and-convenience store, named “abc on the way.”

Walking down Senatorska Street, tourists and Old Town residents are sure to spot a huge mural on the main wall of the newly opened bistro. The mural depicting café tables in Plac Zamkowy Square in the twenties of the last century, is the work of Jack Schmidt, the artist who for a few years has been creating his artworks in the Open Studio PRAGA del Arte in the old Praga district in Warsaw. The mural reflects the mood of pre-war Warsaw and fits perfectly with the atmosphere of a local bistro, where in addition to café snacks or pastries, guests can enjoy freshly squeezed juices, wine and Prosecco.

– It will be different from the existing places operating under the name “abc po sąsiedzku [abc next door].” To meet the expectations of consumers and our franchisees, we are testing a completely new concept of “city,” perfectly blending in with large city centres and matching such prestigious locations as Warsaw’s Old Town. It will be a combination of modern design and the concept of convenience. In terms of equipment and arrangement, the store will have a more premium character, while still preserving the “next door” atmosphere. Its distinguishing feature is a unique bistro with a mouth-watering range of food offerings, focusing on both residents and tourists – said Łukasz Chady, director of abc Stores Network.

The new bistro will offer such tempting treats as crepe sandwiches, croissants and panini with several kinds of fillings (such as chicken and pesto, beets and Camembert, sheep cheese and grilled vegetables) plus healthy salads (to mention only mango and chicken masala, mozzarella with tomatoes and feta cheese with olives). Sweet snacks, including French pastries and Italian desserts, will be a perfect finale for any delicious selection.

The new abc store, located in the heart of Warsaw’s Old Town, has the look and feeling of the Warsaw retro style and exudes uniqueness and local atmosphere with its distinctive combination of natural stone and wood elements. The architectural and interior design of the bistro on Senatorska Street was done by a renowned group ARS Retail that also designed the menu.

Signage of the new premises will be consistent with other tenants’ signs, in line with the strategy of Senatorska Investment Company, which is the owner of the building. Bistro’s interior, made of gold-coloured aluminium and illuminated with LED lights, will fit well with the prestigious neighbourhood.

Debuting on Saturday, 27 August, “abc on the way” bistro will be the latest addition (number 8,000!) to the already existing 7,999 abc stores, developed by Eurocash Group. The event will be accompanied by numerous attractions. Customers visiting the store between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM will be treated to pastries, beverages and slices of cake. Both children and adults will be able to participate in contests and win numerous prizes! The new Tenant on Senatorska Street is looking forward to your visit!

The contract to lease 91 m2 on the ground floor of the Plac Zamkowy – Business with Heritage building was signed for 5 years.
