Cranes at the construction site

The works at the construction site of the investment Plac Zamkowy do not slow down. What’s more, in the last few days two construction cranes appeared at the investment site. Their job is to transport materials and building equipment. They both have a maximum range of 39.2 metres (the arm length) and a maximum lifting capacity of 1.9 tons. The cranes are able to lift loads to a height of over 29 and 35 metres.

Due to the height of the masts, climbing to the entrance of the crane can take up to several minutes, and is done using a ladder inside the truss. When the operators are ready in the cabin, they contact other workers over a two-way radio. Other traditional methods, which such as the alphabet of gestures, are also in use as well. Still used hand gestures indicate specific actions to be undertaken by the operator.

The cranes will remain at the construction site until the shell of the building together with the roof has been completed, which is until October at the latest.
